Rabbi Gavriel & Rivka Holtzberg Hakdoshim
May G-d Avenge Their Deaths

PUBLIC STATEMENT

November 28, 2008
Rosh Chodesh Kislev, 5769

It is with deep shock, pain and sorrow that we learned this morning of the deaths of our dear friends and collegues Rabbi Gabi & Rivka Holtzberg, co-directors of Chabad of Mumbai, India.

We also mourn the deaths of Rabbi Leibish Teitelbaum, Rabbi BenZion Chroman, MS. Yocheved Orpaz and Ms. Norma Schwartzblatt-Rabinovich.

We condemn the sensless killing of close to 150 victims of terror.

We thank everyone for their prayers and heartfelt wishes as the Chabad-Lubavitch movement and the entire Klal Yisrael-Jewish Community worldwide mourns.

At this time of emotion and sadness, we encourage all our friends and supporters to increase in Torah and Mitzvot in memory of the holy kedoshim.

A community gathering and memorial will take place on Monday, Dec. 1 at 6:00 pm at the Jewish Community Campus.

May we only share good news.

Sincerely,
Chabad Lubavitch of South Texas
Rabbi Chaim Block - Executive Director
Rabbi Yossi Marrus - Program Director
