Often described as having an exciting and vibrant tenor voice that captivates a crowd, Yudi began his musical journey as an acclaimed child soloist among the Jewish enclave of London’s Stamford Hill where his father and both grandfathers were cantors. His sought-after performances have since brought him to six continents.
Yudi received a BTech in Vocal Art from the Tshwane University of Technology where he was the winning recipient of the Pretorium Trust Award and Absa Merit Award for the Most Outstanding Opera Student 2008. After 16 years as Chief Cantor at the iconic Sydenham Highlands North Hebrew Congregation in Johannesburg, Yudi has relocated to London with his wife and 5 children, where he continues to connect with audiences in languages including English, Hebrew, Yiddish, Italian, German, French, and Russian.
